As I was searching the internet for potential jobs for english majors, I came across a site called "Jobs for English Majors," and on that site, I found an article entitled "Building Your Skill Set Beyond Writing: Why Tech Knowledge is Essential." This article essentially stressed the significance and importance of what we're doing in this class for obtaining a job in writing, communications, and business.

The article said, "Most jobs in today’s business environment that pay a decent wage feature some combination of writing/editing and what is called in the tech world, “content management”... To be able to compete for jobs like this, it’s essential to build your skill set so you have a working knowledge of the elements of content management, and of how content is published and managed online."

This article said that the best way to learn is by experimenting with theses systems yourself, and this is exactly what we are doing in this class. We are gaining the necessary skills for writing on the web. and with these skills we can go in many directions. This course is providing us with options for the future, Writing is essential to nearly every profession, and if you know how to write for the web, and how to create a social networking site, then you are ahead of the game. So dont get too nervous.
